Hamsters can get "cage rage" if their cages are too small and boring Especially draf Hamsters need unbelievable lots of space and bedding. You can't buy a hamster cage big enough for a hamster in a pet store. Also 6 inches of bedding as a minimum is a lot and often unachievable in a store-bought hamster cage. (People often use terrias or aquariums) Hamsters are not mice who like a cage filled to the brim. I also had a childhood hamster, but that cage the hamster lived in was way too small Like, we should have brought 6 to have the minimum floor area the draf hamster needed. Some hamsters even need more space than the minimum to thrive.
