State government’s top priority is to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply to the people without imposing any additional burden on them, said Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar while speaking to the people of Kodapi constituency.Along with Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, he inaugurated a newly-constructed 33/11 kV substation built at a cost of ₹4.5 crore in Turpu Naidupalem village of Tanguturu mandal in Prakasam district on Sunday.Addressing the gathering, the Energy Minister said that the new substation will address the low-voltage problems in the area. The coalition government has taken up the construction of power substations across the State to strengthen the infrastructure of the energy sector.He further said that the new substation was built within a year, and it will permanently resolve the low-voltage issue in surrounding villages including Shivapuram, Mallavarappadu, Surareddypalem, Karumanchi, Vallur, and Vasapallipadu in the district.Earlier, the three ministers and local representatives paid floral tributes to the statues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), and former Minister Damacharla Anjaneyulu at the village entrance.Later, they laid foundation stones for internal CC roads and drainage works in the SC Colony worth ₹2 crore and unveiled a plaque marking the construction of ₹50-lakh compound wall for the local Zilla Parishad High School.Lauding the efforts of late NTR on the occasion, the Home Minister said, “NTR is not the name of just a person but a strong force. He had introduced many reforms in the State. The NDA alliance should be in power for at least 20 years.”“The people of A.P. have seen the destructive rule of YSR Congress government.
