He was found bleeding in the park by residents who had gone for a morning walk. His glasses and the gun were under a bench nearby. He was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, but doctors declared him dead,” said a senior police officer at the Bisrakh police station.Family members told the police that the deceased had completed his graduation, was preparing for competitive exams and aspired to pursue an MBA course in Goa. “However, he recently failed to secure admission, which had left him deeply disturbed. His mother had died in 2014 due to illness, and he lived with his father, younger brother, and extended family members,” said the officer.Neighbours described him as “cheerful and well-mannered.” “He was a bright student, scoring 75 per cent in Class 10 and 95 per cent in Class 12. Nobody could have even imagined that he could take such an extreme step,” a resident said.According to the police, some of the eyewitnesses saw him sitting alone on a bench in the park for nearly half an hour before he went back to his apartment and returned to the park a short while later.“We were informed of the incident after security guards heard the gunshot. The body has been sent for postmortem. If the family files a complaint, the investigation would also examine other possible angles, including his call records,” the police officer said.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Greater Noida
