From Vicky Kaushal and Hrithik Roshan to Tamannaah Bhatia and Khushi Kapoor, the premiere saw several Bollywood stars turning up in support of the film, which has been co-produced by Karan Johar. However, what caught fans’ attention was an interesting moment when ex-couple Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora reunited at the event.Though Arjun and Malaika largely maintained distance and even arrived separately, interacting with different groups of people at the event, the cameras captured a moment of them hugging and exchanging pleasantries.In the viral clip, Arjun is seen speaking to other guests at the premiere, including Neha Dhupia, while Malaika posed for the paparazzi. After entering the venue and spotting Arjun, Malaika walked up to him, and the two shared a warm hug. The clip also shows them having a brief conversation with Homebound director Neeraj Ghaywan. The couple initially kept their relationship away from the public eye but later often shared romantic photos from their getaways and posted birthday wishes for each other on Instagram. However, they parted ways in 2024, with Arjun confirming the breakup during an interaction. He had said, “Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo (No, I’m single now. Arjun was one of the first people to arrive at her parents’ home after his passing, as Malaika was out of town.Homebound tells the story of two friends from marginalised communities who are determined to beat the odds and build a better life for themselves. The film stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.
