In the past three years, the works funded by the Cultural and Creative Affairs Department accounted for nearly 30% of the box office in Hong Kong. In the future, we will further strengthen international publicity, exchanges and business matching with the Mainland and promote Hong Kong films to a broader stage."The Kwok Fu Sing starred MY FIRST OF MAY was the highlight of the event, focusing on a father who has gone from escaping to taking responsibility, showing the healing power of family affection. Kwok Fu Sing said that he was honored to participate in this event. "As a Hong Kong actor, I have made many different types of films and I have always supported the creation of new directors. I have also played many different roles. Movies are the common language of the world, and the audience can find resonance and empathy in them. Kwok Fu Sing and Natalie Hsu (Hui Yan Yi) in the film played father and daughter who gradually rebuild their family relationship from conflicts and resentments. Kwok Fu Sing analyzed his character "Tang Suk Yin". "He fell from the peak of the three-time champion to rock bottom, but no one around him really understood him. He didn't dare to talk with anyone either. When his mother fell ill, he was finally motivated to wake up. He was unable to continue running away, as he must return home and bear the responsibility." He specifically mentioned the scene where he apologized to Hui Yan Yi through the door, which still left a deep impression with him. "We shot three versions of this scene and finally decided to use the first one, because it was able to most directly shows the character's collapse." In another scene he fell asleep as his daughter did her homework and vaguely heard his daughter calling her father softly. Kwok Fu Sing recalled, "That moment felt very warm. As a father I actually enjoyed that moment, but I didn't dare to let my daughter see me affected, so I could only silently shed a bittersweet tear."
