In the past three years, the works funded by the Cultural and Creative Affairs Department accounted for nearly 30% of the box office in Hong Kong. In the future, we will further strengthen international publicity, exchanges and business matching with the Mainland and promote Hong Kong films to a broader stage."The Kwok Fu Sing starred MY FIRST OF MAY was the highlight of the event, focusing on a father who has gone from escaping to taking responsibility, showing the healing power of family affection. Kwok Fu Sing said that he was honored to participate in this event. "As a Hong Kong actor, I have made many different types of films and I have always supported the creation of new directors. I have also played many different roles. Movies are the common language of the world, and the audience can find resonance and empathy in them. This is one of the charms of movies I like!"Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and James Hung Ling Ching interacted with the audience up close and shared their feelings after the screening. Kwok Fu Sing and Natalie Hsu (Hui Yan Yi) in the film played father and daughter who gradually rebuild their family relationship from conflicts and resentments. Kwok Fu Sing analyzed his character "Tang Suk Yin". "He fell from the peak of the three-time champion to rock bottom, but no one around him really understood him. He didn't dare to talk with anyone either. When his mother fell ill, he was finally motivated to wake up. He was unable to continue running away, as he must return home and bear the responsibility." He specifically mentioned the scene where he apologized to Hui Yan Yi through the door, which still left a deep impression with him. "We shot three versions of this scene and finally decided to use the first one, because it was able to most directly shows the character's collapse." In another scene he fell asleep as his daughter did her homework and vaguely heard his daughter calling her father softly. Kwok Fu Sing recalled, "That moment felt very warm. As a father I actually enjoyed that moment, but I didn't dare to let my daughter see me affected, so I could only silently shed a bittersweet tear." Some viewers asked as a father in reality, would he make such a sacrifice for his daughter? He responded, "In fact many viewers now would, often choosing to escape when encountering things they don't want to face. Yet through the movie, I want to convey the message of cherishing the people around me." He also revealed that he specifically took his daughters to the theater to watch MY FIRST OF MAY. "Although they are still young, they would take the initiative to ask questions where they don't understand. I think 'asking' is a good thing, and I would slowly explain it to them. This is also my ideal parent-child interaction. I hope the children can see their father working hard and being a good example."In addition, Locker Lam Ka Hei played a boxer in FIGHT FOR TOMORROW (PING MING SAM LONG). He was very excited about visiting Kuala Lumpur again. "I stayed in Kuala Lumpur for 3 months for a movie. Making a movie here was very pleasant and friendly. Hong Kong films to whether the Chinese community there or the Malaysians hold special meaning."Cutting-edge action martial arts director Ken Law Ho Ming also appeared with the film GOOD GAME (JOOK DIN). He said that this work originated from a simple idea. "Originally I just wrote a story for myself, but I didn't expect doing more and more during the process from writing the script, planning, location scouting to production. Although I got paid once for four jobs, I was still very happy to be able to take care of the film on and off camera. I hope the audience would be pleased with it."
