After releasing the stable One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy S25 last week, Samsung has now released the update for last year's foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. These phones received two beta updates over the past few weeks.Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 get stable One UI 8 (Android 16) update in KoreaThe stable One UI 8.0 update, based on Android 16, is now available for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 (via @tarunvats33) and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in South Korea, and it could be released in other countries in the coming days.The update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes bearing firmware version F741NKSU2CYI6, while the one for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has been released with firmware version F956NKSU2CYI7. The update, which is around 600MB in size, is currently available for One UI 8.0 Beta Program participants but it will soon be released for all users with an update size of around 4GB.Both phones are now on the latest security patch. If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 6 or a Galaxy Z Fold 6, and if you live in South Korea, you can check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is fully downloaded, tap the Install now button to install the new update. Your phone will restart after a few minutes, and you can then start using the stable version of One UI 8.0.What is new with the One UI 8.0 update for Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6?This new update brings improved designs for stock apps like My Files, Quick Share, Reminders, Samsung Internet, and Weather. The new software also includes Galaxy AI improvements like AI Select and Audio Eraser.One UI 8.0 brings improvements to Alarms, Calendar, Modes and Routines, and Samsung Health. The Camera app has a new swipe gesture to open camera controls. Samsung has also improved Auracast-based audio broadcasts.
