While the USS Gerald R. Ford was the first aircraft carrier to employ EMALS to launch combat jets. But China's Fujian stole the march over it by becoming the first floating airbase to launch a stealth fighter using EMALS when it launched the J-35. It is a feat which the US Navy is yet to achieve.
