Popular singer Zubeen Garg passed away in Singapore. He was there to relax and attend the North East India Festival. Shyamkanu Mahanta, the festival's chief organiser, confirmed this. The festival got cancelled after Garg's death. He died while swimming without a life jacket. Garg had plans with the Assam Association in Singapore.
