The NCP said 4,800 complaints were registered today, of which 1800 were resolved on the spot.Like Hadapsar, the Pimpri Jansamvad also brought together citizens, government departments, and political leadership in one platform. The initiative continued to use modern technology such as WhatsApp chatbots, digital kiosks, and helpline numbers to register complaints, provide transparency, and ensure accountability. At Pimpri, more than 25 government departments participated to address civic concerns of citizens. Around 4,800 complaints were registered during the event, with around 1,800 resolved on the spot. The majority of issues once again related to water supply, sanitation, and traffic. Ajit Pawar personally monitored the process and guided departments for quick redressal, the NCP claimed.“Today, I heard the grievances of Pimpri residents who visited the Jansamvad. We have provided solutions to many problems directly through the local administration present here and will forward the grievances to Mantralaya, concerned ministries, and departments that require their attention. We have a strong follow-up mechanism to ensure that every problem is resolved,” Ajit Pawar said after interacting and listening to grievances of citizens.Among those benefitted at the Jansamvad was 65 year old Pandit Mahadev, a physically-challenged resident from Moshi. He was among the first ones to submit his grievance. After submitting his petition, Malkar disappeared into the crowd. After a while, Ajit Pawar suddenly remembered Malkar and started calling out his name. NCP workers then rushed Malkar on the stage. Even coming here was a tedious task for me. I had to first catch a bus from Moshi to Pimpri and then Pimpri to this venue,” he said.Revenue official Chandrakala Shelkhe said,”Malkar will immediately get his pension from next month..He had first submitted his documents to us about 15 days back. And today he was issued a letter at the hands of the Deputy Chief Minister sanctioning the pension for him.”Click here to join Express Pune WhatsApp channel and get a curated list of our stories© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:NCPpune
