The Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department of the State government has made upward revision of various seva charges in 14 temples, including Kukke Subramanya temple in Dakshina Kannada district.The new rates would come into effect from October 1, 2025. The temple committees headed by the Deputy Commissioner and district endowment officer have decided to hike seva charges in 14 government-owned temples.The charges of various pujas and sevas have been increased in: Sri Yoganarasimha Swamy Temple, Sri Nandi Tirtha Swami Temple (both in Bengaluru); Sri Vidhurashwatha Swami Temple in Gauribidanur and Sri Bhuneela Sametha Venkataramanaswamy Temple, Talakayalabetta (both in Chickballapur district); Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Puttur, Sri Mahaganapathi Temple, Sowthadka, Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple and Kukke Subramanya Temple, all in Dakshina Kannada district; Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple at Devara-Hosahalli in Bengaluru South; Sri Halu Rameshwara Temple, Devapur in Hosadurga of Chitradurga district; Sri Sugureshwara Swamy Temple at Deosugur in Raichur district; Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Mandarthi in Udupi district; Sri Huligamma Temple in Koppal district, and Sri Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple at Melkote in Mandya district, said a notification.Sources said seva charges in these temples had not been increased for the last six to seven years.Published - September 19, 2025 11:27 pm IST
