The Mysuru Dasara festival began in Mysuru with writer Banu Mushtaq inaugurating the 11-day festivities at Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hills. Accompanied by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other ministers, Mushtaq offered prayers to the goddess Chamundeshwari, the presiding deity. The festival, celebrated as 'Nada Habba', will showcase Karnataka's culture and traditions.
