I was in a Facebook Group, A mother posted that she cannot afford Christmas presents for her young child and if anyone could find it in their heart to buy her a gift for her daughter for the holiday season. I am a person with a good heart and was taught to "Love Thy Neighbor" and help a person in need. I contact the person on messenger, I asked them what did they want. They mentioned a "Blues Clues" toy (One of the most popular toys of the holiday season). I found a toy she requested and purchased it with my own money and had it shipped by amazon to her. I received a post from her thinking it would be a thank you letter, instead she stated she didn't like the gift and will sell it online for money. So I learned my lesson that most scams are online and if I want to help a person in the future it will either be in person or thru a toy charity such Toys for tots. submitted by /u/LocalHistorian2024 [link] [comments]
