Shivamogga DC appeals to public to cooperate for survey beginning on Monday

Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde has appealed to the people of Shivamogga district to cooperate with the administration to conduct the socio-economic and educational survey, beginning on Monday.The Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes will be conducting the door-to-door survey till October 7. The enumerators visiting the houses will collect information from family members. As per the information collected from the Mescom, there are 5,43,925 families in the district, and geo-tagging has been completed.“As many as 4,215 enumerators have been appointed to collect the socio-economic and educational data from the families through mobile phones. In places where there is no mobile network, the administration has identified government offices and school buildings with better internet access to facilitate the process,” Mr. Hegde said.Published - September 21, 2025 06:27 pm IST
