Vrusshabha trailer: Mohanlal promises action-packed father-son saga as past life haunts the superstar

Apart from Mohanlal, it also stars Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay and Neha Saxena in pivotal roles.The trailer tells the story of a father and son, played by Mohanlal and Samarjit. It shows Mohanlal essaying the role of a wealthy businessman who begins having dreams of his past life, in which he was a king whose throne was threatened. He dreams of wars, bloodshed and violence. In his present life too, he finds himself facing a similar battle, as he becomes the target of enemies who want to kill him. However, what stands between him and death is his son, who boldly declares, “Kill me first.” This is when Samarjit is seen in action, fighting off the attackers.The trailer then moves into flashbacks of Mohanlal’s character’s past life, where he is shown as a king who openly challenges those who threaten his clan. The tagline of the film reads, “The past never dies, it bleeds into every birth.”Mohanlal has had some major releases in 2025. His films L2: Empuraan and Thudarum both emerged as massive box office successes, ranking among the highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year. The actor’s last release, Hridayapoorvam, however, clashed with Dulquer Salmaan’s production Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, and the competition affected its box office run.
