Samsung is rolling out software updates to its smartphones with foldable displays from 2022, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which make these devices more secure. The updates bring the December 2025 security patch, which fixes 57 security issues (via @ya_sking12767). You can read more about it here. Samsung has already offered the latest security patch to all the newer Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series smartphones.So far, the brand seems to have released the updates in its home country, South Korea. We expected the company to release it in other regions in the next few days. The update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is 445.46MB in size and carries firmware version F936NKSS6IYL1, whereas the update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is 426.82MB in size and carries firmware version F721NKSS6IYL1.To get the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We will soon make the update available to download in our database and use Samsung’s Odin tool on Windows to install the update manually.The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are eligible to get One UI 8.5, Samsung’s next version of One UI for Galaxy phones and tablets.
