Candidates who have qualified in the Common Law Admission Test 2026 will be eligible to participate in the centralised admissions counselling process for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by participating NLUs.As per the notice, the counselling process will be conducted in five rounds, with seat allotments released at different stages based on candidate preferences, ranks and availability of seats.The CLAT 2026 admissions counselling will begin with the registration window opening on December 16. Eligible candidates will be required to register online on the CLAT portal and pay the counselling registration fee within the stipulated timeline. The first allotment list will be published in early January 2026, after which candidates will have to exercise their choice of ‘Freeze’, ‘Float’ or ‘Exit’ in each round of counselling.
