Born-again singer and former secular music powerhouse Mamuli Katumba has finally addressed long-standing allegations that he once chased fellow musician and politician Sir. Mathias Walukaga from his band.Katumba dismissed the claims, clarifying that Walukaga was never fired from the group. Instead, he says the singer was temporarily suspended due to indiscipline, a move he insists was meant to correct behavior rather than punish.Walukaga is my son. Just to set the record straight, I didn’t chase him out of my band. I only suspended him and advised him to change his ways. We were a very disciplined group, and whenever someone misbehaved, we had to put them in their right place.Katumba went on to credit himself for nurturing Walukaga into the successful musician and politician he is today. He revealed that he discovered Walukaga in Masaka and personally facilitated his move to Kampala in pursuit of a music career.I am the one who brought him from Masaka.
