With the government’s contribution of an additional €250,000, Sandro now has the opportunity to travel to Singapore for the life-saving treatment, which costs around half a million euros.Sandro has been battling health challenges for three years. He explained that his condition initially involved a mass in his lung, resulting in one lung functioning below 100%.After multiple operations and two transplants in the UK, he continued to recover gradually. Recently, his condition progressed to leukeamia, leaving him with only one final chance for treatment. “I am determined to pursue this recovery because I have two children, and it would not be fair to give up without trying,” he said.Sandro expressed gratitude for all the support he has received from local organisations like Puttinu and the Community Chest Fund, as well as family, friends, and now the entire Maltese and Gozitan public. “To raise such an amount in just two days shows what an incredible community we are. We have every reason to be proud to show this to the world,” he said.Well done to all!Credit: TVM•
