My church's gift program distributed gifts like the 1st week of December. So yeah they are going to have a hard time finding a church who can miraculously produce gifts. If you consider there is only 1 Sunday between now and Christmas, and that is when most churches meet and could possibly ask for the congregation to provide donations, then to get them back would typically be the following Sunday, which is obviously after Christmas. Most smaller churches don't just have a safe full of cash to go buy $3000 in gifts. They might be able to provide a small amount, but not what she is asking for! I'm not talking mega churches, they definitely sit on more cash (usually way more than they should). But your small local churches aren't sitting on much cash.
