ank of Baroda – Jan Bearish Option Setup | Entry 285, Tg2 268.5Bank of BarodaNSE:BANKBARODAsalaisargunanspAfter a strong rally, Bank of Baroda (Daily, NSE) is showing signs of losing upside momentum: Price has rolled over from recent highs and is now trading below the short-term trendline. The latest swing high failed to extend, suggesting a possible rounding top / distribution zone. Momentum indicators on the lower panels are turning down, showing waning bullish strength and early bearish pressure. Based on this, I am studying a short / bearish setup, especially for traders who use options on the January contract. 🔻 Short Thesis Short Zone (Underlying): Around ₹285 Price is currently retesting the breakdown area and descending trendline, which acts as a potential supply zone. Stop-Loss (Invalidation): ₹288.5 A sustained move above this level would invalidate the idea, suggesting buyers are back in control. Target 1 (Tg1): Around the first support zone marked on the chart (approx. recent consolidation area). Target 2 (Tg2): ₹268.5 This aligns with a deeper support area and the projected downside from the current trend structure. Traders who work with options might study bearish strategies on the January expiry (for example, buying puts or using defined-risk spreads) if price rejects the ₹285–288 zone with confirmation from volume and momentum. This is purely a technical view based on trend, structure, and indicator signals. 🧩 My View on the Chart The prior uptrend remains intact on a larger horizon, but short-term structure has clearly weakened. Lower highs, a break of the short-term moving average, and softening momentum all support the idea of a corrective move down toward Tg1 and possibly Tg2. If price quickly reclaims ₹288.5+ and holds, this bearish view would be invalid and the setup should be considered failed. ⚠️ Disclaimer I am not a SEBI-registered analyst.
