Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has removed his designation as Chairman from his X account. He stated this was a forced decision due to pressure from authorities. The move comes after the Hurriyat Conference was banned under UAPA. Mirwaiz was also prevented from addressing the Friday congregation at Jama Masjid. This platform remains a key communication channel for him.
