A two-year-old boy died of alleged suffocation after a fire broke out in an air conditioner unit at a residence in Kacheguda on Friday evening.Fire control officials said they received a call at 4.55 p.m. and rushed to the spot. By the time the flames were brought under control, it was confirmed that the child had died.The incident occurred at a house in Sundar Nagar. Preliminary information revealed that the air conditioner unit caught fire, filling the room with thick smoke.The child, who was inside the room at the time, is believed to have suffocated due to smoke inhalation and lost consciousness.
