The operation was led by DSP (City-1) Prithvi Singh Chahal.During the drive, police teams conducted intensive night patrolling, carried out thorough vehicle checks, and verified suspicious persons. The objective of the operation was to curb illegal activities, ensure public safety and instil a sense of security among shopkeepers and people visiting markets late at night.As part of the enforcement action, the police impounded two cars and one motorcycle for violations of rules. In addition, 12 traffic challans were issued, and two persons were booked under Section 128 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) for disturbing public peace.Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans said that such night domination drives are being conducted regularly. “The aim is to prevent crime, check traffic violations and maintain a safe environment in commercial and residential areas,” he said. Emphasising the police’s commitment, the SSP added that the Mohali police is fully dedicated to maintaining peace and order, especially in crowded areas during night hours.The police appealed to residents and shopkeepers to extend full cooperation during checking and patrolling and to strictly follow traffic and civic rules.
