I occasionally sell on ebay and would either go grab a box from Office Depot or use USPS flat rate boxes, but I realized that both were suboptimal and couldn't find a tool to find the best box + shipping rate combo so I decided to build one! Background is as a C++ developer with plenty of python experience, not much web dev, but I discovered FastAPI and TailwindCSS+HTMX so that I could bridge that gap without having to actually learn the odds and ends of web dev A simple tool, but it's something that I tried to build a few times over the years and I'm proud to finally have something useful up on the interwebs   submitted by   /u/sz2k [link]   [comments]
