Mine accidentally cracked his tv after me telling him to be careful with swinging things in his room for weeks. Too bad, kid, looks like you don’t have a tv now. We did eventually replace it (with a cheap one, because common sense) but we expressly told him that if anything happened to this one, he’d never have another until he moved out on his own. At six, that was a scary enough thought, and we’ve never had problems with him breaking electronics again. Gentle parenting isn’t allowing your kids to run all over you. You’re their parent, not their friend.
