India’s IT hiring demand rose to 1.8 million roles in 2025, up 16 per cent year-on-year, led by Global Capability Centres and product-led firms. Mid-career professionals dominated recruitment, while AI, cloud and cybersecurity skills saw the strongest demand and salary premiums. Tier-1 cities continued to account for nearly 90 per cent of jobs, with longer hiring cycles reflecting the growing complexity of roles.
