UltraTech Cement has received a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand notice totaling Rs 782.2 crore. The company plans to contest this demand, which stems from alleged short payment of GST and improper utilization of Input Tax Credit between 2018-19 and 2022-23. UltraTech stated the order was passed without due consideration of its submissions.
