If you do but hold it as more an anachronism or simply look at religion as "draw back to" (which is a reasonable etiological root of the word "religion") that's fine too. After all we are talking about an event allegedly 2,000 years in the past and its essentially beyond dispute that the Christian calendar moved the actual date of said event from early to mid spring to avoid enraging those praying over the "dying sun" so it didn't disappear forever.
