No fly zone declared in Tiruvannamalai on December 26-27 for Chief Minister’s visit

Tiruvannamalai Collector K. Tharpagaraj on Thursday declared the district will be a no fly zone on December 26-27 during the visit of the Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who will inaugurate a two-day agriculture exhibition in Tiruvannamalai town and distribute government financial assistance to beneficiaries.According to a press release, all individuals and civil agencies are prohibited from flying any non-conventional aerial objects in the district without any prior permission on the said day. The district police will destroy or confiscate any UAVs that violate this restriction.Further, the operator found violating these orders will be charged under the provisions of law. Approval for utilisation of drones by any operator or civil/government agency is governed by guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the release said.Published - December 25, 2025 06:18 pm IST
