Hi, I found an S4 SCH-I545 GPL1 in my dad's drawer and I want to flash a custom ROM, but this model comes with a Verizon-locked bootloader. I found a guide that explains how to unlock it, but it requires root. I've looked for ways, but most of them no longer work or I don't know how. I'm new to this and wanted to know if there's any way, now in 2025, to root it or unlock the bootloader some other way, since I want to rescue it and use it more than 10 years after its release.
