Police also said appropriate legal action would be taken as per law after the enquiry is completed.Two men sustained injuries in an accident on the Rajokri flyover along NH-48 involving two trucks on Tuesday afternoon, police said.According to the police, a PCR call regarding the incident was received at Vasant Kunj South police station. At the accident site, a member of the NHAI patrolling team informed them that a truck had collided with another.One of the injured victims, identified as Amresh Yadav (22), a resident of Narela, had already been shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre in an NHAI ambulance. The other injured person was trapped inside one of the vehicles. He was rescued with the help of the NHAI team and the Delhi Fire Services, and was later taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre in a PCR van. He was identified as Viresh, a resident of Iqbalpur in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district.Police said both the vehicles were removed from the spot after a rescue operation, following which normal traffic movement was restored on the busy stretch.Preliminary enquiry revealed that both trucks were travelling from Delhi towards Gurugram when the offending vehicle allegedly hit the other truck from behind.CCTV footage is being examined, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
