I saw a post in one of my local groups the other day asking for toys for her 1 year old for Christmas because she doesn’t want to disappoint her. Amazingly I was the only one to gently point out that a 1 year old has zero idea what is going on, will have absolutely no clue what Christmas is and will not expect anything because this is literally the first time they’ve ever experienced Christmas lol. You can give a 1 year old a piece of cheese and a rock as a Christmas present and all they will think about is which one they’re allowed to eat
