The upcoming season will feature several new ‘sharks’ alongside the existing panel. Among the latest additions is Pratham Mittal, founder of Tetr College of Business and Masters’ Union. Mittal will join the show for the Campus Special episodes, with a focus on championing student entrepreneurship. In a recent interview, he spoke about his experience of being on television and his journey on the show.In a interview with Hindustan Times, Pratham Mittal said, “You can’t be overtly critical of someone so young. Even if they make mistakes, they need to be told it’s okay instead of putting them down. I feel that reality TV is very ruthless. We need to bring more heart into it, and I hope I can be that positive voice. Right now, the narrative towards entrepreneurship is a little critical, and that makes me uncomfortable. I mean, this person has left their job to try something new. They need feedback, not criticism.”Also Read: ‘Nurses would beat newborn baby with Down syndrome’: Anupam Mittal chokes up on Shark Tank India finale, says he’s having out-of-body experience View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shark Tank India (@sharktank.india) Usually, on Shark Tank India, the judges are often seen being very critical of the pitchers. While in the previous season it sparked off controversies, Pratham Mittal aspires to stand out. Talking about the same, he said, “I’m a very soft person. It’s very difficult for me to say anything that’ll hurt somebody. I think I’ll be fine…I might be boring, but that’s a separate issue.”Talking about his friendship with Aman Gupta, Pratham shared, “Aman is a very close friend, and he helped me feel very comfortable while shooting. He also happens to be my neighbour. Peyush Bansal has been to Masters’ Union, so I’ve known him. I’ve also been in touch with Ritesh Agarwal in the past. Maybe because they’re all from Delhi, like I am, it helped us get along well. People have been incredibly nice. We don’t know what kind of companies we see on a given day; it’s as much a surprise for us as the audience. Also Read | Shark Tank India founder who turned down Rs 10 crore buyout for ‘earth-shattering’ innovation stuns Anupam Mittal: ‘Once in 50 years…’ View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shark Tank India (@sharktank.india) Further talking about his decision to be on Shark Tank India, Pratham Mittal said, “Gen Z and Alpha aren’t very patient, and climbing the corporate ladder slowly feels like a risk to them. For the young ones in my family, jobs are a backup because they aren’t as secure as they once were. To keep up with that, Masters’ Union and Tetr are based more on building businesses than mugging curriculum. It’s like if an incubator and a college had a baby. One motivation for me for coming on Shark Tank is also so I can talk more about this.”Shark Tank India 5 will air on Sony TV and stream on Sony Liv from January 5.Click here to follow Screen Digital on YouTube and stay updated with the latest from the world of cinema.© IE Online Media Services Pvt Ltd
