/u/CrunchyTeatime on Tenant wants revenge on landlord for giving them a “measly” $200 Christmas gift

No! In only one case have I gotten anything from a landlord. I didn't expect anything...But when I first rented at one place, and before all the madness in the world in recent years and the tanked economy...and maybe due to the then-owners (I lost count how many times the management companies or owners have changed) I got a box of oranges. I was so surprised and thrilled to get it, I can't even tell you. And with one manager, we exchanged Christmas cards, and she thanked me for a home made word search puzzle in the card, with a batch of her home made fudge. And that was wonderful. Money? Free rent? HA! (Nor do I expect anything, but, the oranges, and fudge, from the past, were wonderful; largely because I hadn't expected it.) This CB has to be the worst yet I've seen posted here. Why? Not only the ingratitude and total lack of empathy for an elderly couple, who of their own volition gave them free rent each December, and even money in a card...they are not even related to CB or CB would've said so...But CB's total lack of insight, and the toxic slime icing on the poo-poo patty cake...They wish harm on them! They "want them to feel pain." CB: Just because "they have five cars" etc. maybe those are for their children, or employees if they have an old family farm or something (CB said "very rural") or maybe they are in debt, and mortgaged to the hilt, and/or, have tons of medical bills insurance won't pay. Those can bankrupt anybody. Get stuffed!!
