Aspirants should begin their preparation and mark the dates, as the schedule includes exams for deputy commandant, lecturer, and several assistant director positions. A press note issued shares the tentative dates for these exams, which span across diverse departments such as home, AYUSH, energy, public health engineering, and more.According to the RPSC chairman, the calendar has been released well in advance to give candidates sufficient time to prepare. The first exam will be held in January, with the schedule continuing through the last week of December. After nearly six years, the Commission has reintroduced the usage of the technology into the examination process to prevent issues such as paper leaks and irregularities. All exams will be conducted online, ensuring greater transparency and fairness in recruitment, as mentioned in the release.The first RPSC examination of 2026 will be conducted on January 11 for the post of deputy commandant in the home department. On January 12, the lecturer (Ayurveda Department) exam will follow in a fully online mode. Screening tests for other departments are also scheduled by the end of January.Key Dates:–Lecturer (Ayurveda Department): January 12, 2026 – Online–Assistant Electrical Inspector: February 1, 2026 – Computer-based–Sub-Inspector & Platoon Commander (Home Department): April 5, 2026–School Lecturer & Coach (School Education Department): May 31 – June 16, 2026–Senior Teacher (Secondary Education Department): July 12 – 18, 2026For the first time, the Commission has set aside several reserve dates—April 26, May 3, November 29, December 6, and December 27. These dates will be utilised if the government announces new major recruitments, such as RAS or REET, or if an exam needs to be rescheduled due to internet disruptions or district-level emergencies.RPSC Chairman Utkal Ranjan Sahu highlighted that a minimum gap of two to three months will now be maintained between examinations, giving candidates ample time for preparation and revision.
