But a plot carried out by an ex-fast food employee certainly comes close to topping the list.As KDFW reported on Tuesday, a former Chick-Fil-A employee named Keyshun Jones stands accused of stealing more than $80,000 through a fraudulent refund scheme at a Chick-Fil-A location in Grapevine, Texas. How did he do it? By ringing up a whopping 800 fake orders of macaroni and cheese and then issuing refunds to himself. From KDFW:Detectives reviewing surveillance footage identified the suspect as Keyshun Jones, a former employee who had been terminated about a month earlier.Police said the footage shows Jones behind the counter without authorization, where he allegedly used the restaurant’s register to ring up roughly 800 orders of macaroni and cheese trays and then issue refunds to his personal credit cards.Per KDFW, the investigation into Jones’s crime began in November 2025, after the restaurant’s owners reported hundreds of suspicious refunds.A warrant was issued for Jones’s arrest on April 6.He was then taken into custody on April 17 with help from the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department.Records obtained by NBC News show that Jones was fired from Chick-Fil-A in October. As Fox News points out, schemes involving fake orders and fraudulent refunds are a common form of employee theft in the restaurant industry. The reason for this is workers with access can come up with point-of-sale systems to issue illegal refunds. But using macaroni and cheese to carry one out is definitely new.Grapevine police say Jones faces charges of property theft, money laundering and evading arrest. He is being held in the Tarrant County jail.Jones faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted on all charges. The post Former Chick-Fil-A Employee Busted After Carrying Out a Bizarre Mac and Cheese Scheme to Steal Thousands of Dollars from Restaurant appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
