Meanwhile I was second in line for a not-free really nice dresser that I wanted very much and the seller said it was mine if the first guy who messaged didn’t show up. And then he didn’t, but she wanted to give him one more chance. And then one more chance the next night. And then one more chance again. Three nights in a row. I considered pulling the asshole move of offering more than asking price because I think it was worth it but I couldn’t bring myself to do something like that. Apparently the first guy eventually showed up. I’m (obviously) still pretty salty about it. It was a really neat piece of furniture.
