The TikToker explains that she lives on a large piece of land with her boyfriend, while his parents reside in a separate home nearby. Because they are a family of mechanics and construction workers, the sound of heavy Timberland boots is a familiar, everyday noise. However, it’s that very sound that has become a source of fear for Ellie. Ellie reports that her front door, which has a distinct sound when it opens and closes, has been slamming shut in the middle of the night. Lately, she’s noticed it had become quieter, “like whatever it is that’s doing this is trying to be more sneaky, which is scary.” It started simple “So, usually what I used to hear was the door slam.
