A post-prom celebration at a short-term rental house on Indianapolis’ near north side ended in gunfire early Sunday morning, leaving one woman dead and four others injured.Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to the 4000 block of North Park Avenue, near North College Avenue and 38th Street, shortly after midnight on Saturday, over reports of a person who was shot.When officers arrived at the rental, they found at least one gunshot victim on the scene.Two additional victims later walked into the nearby Methodist Hospital with gunshot wounds.All four shooting victims are believed to have been shot at the same location.A fifth person was injured while trying to flee the scene, but they were not shot.IMPD confirmed the gathering was a large post-prom house party at a short-term rental home that drew a significant crowd, including many teenagers.Investigators said a dispute broke out among some of the attendees before the shooting erupted.One adult female victim was killed at the scene, transported to a hospital, and later pronounced dead.The Marion County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once the next of kin have been notified.The conditions of the three surviving gunshot victims have not been made public, but at least one of them is in critical condition, according to a report from local station WTHR.No suspects have been identified or arrested as of Sunday afternoon.IMPD has not released any suspect descriptions or additional details about the dispute that sparked the violence.The WTHR report added:Anyone with information about this incident should call Detective Christopher Winter at the IMPD Homicide Office at 317.327.3475 or e-mail the detective at Christopher.Winter@indy.gov.Anonymous tips can also be made by contacting Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477).WATCH:The IMPD is urging parents to be aware of what their children are doing and who they are with at all times.The post Mass Shooting at Indianapolis Post-Prom Party Leaves One Dead and Four Wounded appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
