Eh, people in the aquarium hobby often give away tanks they aren’t using anymore. Old tanks have little resale value and take up space. The size could be because whatever they want to house needs 20g and they don’t have the space/a strong enough floor (water is heavy) for more than 40g. And obviously if they want to use it, they don’t want a leaky tank. Not super crazy.
