Argamani, whose abduction became one of the most iconic images of the bloodiest day in Israeli history, says her life before October 7th seems like a “distant dream.”By World Israel News StaffNoa Argamani has shared new details of her abduction from the Nova Music Festival on October 7 and her struggles after being rescued, in an in-depth interview with Hebrew-language outlet Ynet.Argamani, now 27, became one of the most iconic symbols of the bloodiest day in Israeli history, after video footage of her screaming “Don’t kill me” while being dragged to Gaza on a motorcycle by invading terrorists went viral. She described arriving at the festival in the early hours of the morning, only for the event to be canceled soon after due to heavy rocket barrages. Having grown up in Israel’s south, where air-raid sirens were a regular occurrence, she initially wasn’t very concerned by the rocket fire, she told Ynet. But the situation escalated quickly as terrorists began shooting at her, her boyfriend Avinatan Or, and their friends. After being captured by terrorists, Argamani recalled encountering another young woman fleeing the scene.“I saw a girl running away in the woods. She was wearing shorts and a tank top. She saw that we were being kidnapped and decided to run, to escape,” Argamani recounted to Ynet.“Our eyes met. We both knew our fate could be the same. To this day, I don’t know who it was or what happened to her — whether she was kidnapped, survived, or murdered.”Eight months later, in June 2024, Argamani was rescued in a daring daylight operation in Nuseirat, Gaza. Three other Israeli hostages were freed in a separate location nearby.During captivity, Argamani worried constantly about her mother, Liora, who was battling terminal cancer. She told Ynet that her first question to Israeli special forces after being rescued was, “Do you know if my mother is still alive?” They told her yes.Three weeks after her return, her mother died. “She waited for me so that my father wouldn’t be left alone,” said Argamani, who is an only child.Since her rescue, she has spoken at international events, advocating for the release of Israeli hostages. Her boyfriend Avinatan remains in Hamas captivity, along with 47 other hostages.“I was kidnapped at 25 and am about to turn 28. Avinatan and I were planning our future, and now I’m fighting for his life. I watch my friends graduate, move in together, and marry, while my own life feels like a distant dream,” she said.“The daily struggle consumes me so much I can’t even finish the degree I began at 23. I long to live again, but every step without Avinatan feels impossibly hard. Two years have passed since time stopped. No words can truly describe the frustration… it’s like one big void.”The post Noa Argamani reveals new details of Hamas kidnapping appeared first on World Israel News.
