Less than a tenth of Indian households are invested in securities market products, with higher penetration in urban areas than in rural ones, states the ‘Investor Survey 2025’ initiated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi). Conducted by the regulator after a gap of 10 years, it examines the investment sentiment of over 90,000 respondents.
