Yes. Depends on the type of autism and, severity of both conditions and the symptoms/behaviors they have. Some people can’t handle the stress or anxiety of driving. They can’t handle the sensory stimulation, or they get easily distracted and overwhelmed. It’s not unreasonable for this person to not drive because of their mental state. Just like, even though this person is asking for things that “real babies” could use, it doesn’t undermine the mental health and the person asking. This baby doll may also be an emotional support doll and part of her treatment, not just for fun.
