A fundraiser has been launched to support the parents of an 11-month-old baby girl who passed away in her family home in St Julian’s on the 3rd of March, as they try to bring their daughter back to England for her final resting place. The fundraiser was set up by Lucy, a close friend of the baby’s mother Sophie, to help the grieving parents during what she described as an “unimaginably difficult time”.In the appeal, Lucy explained that Sophie and her husband Aleks recently lost their daughter Lorena, describing her as a happy and smiley little girl who meant the world to her parents.“Lorena was just 11 months old… a happy, smiley little girl who was truly their world and so deeply loved by everyone around her,” she wrote.According to the fundraiser, Lorena tragically passed away in her sleep, leaving her parents heartbroken. The couple now hopes to bring their daughter back to England so she can be laid to rest close to home, but the process of repatriation and funeral arrangements involves significant costs. The fundraiser aims to help cover the expenses of bringing Lorena home, funeral costs, and some living expenses, allowing the family time to grieve without additional financial pressure.“Any contribution, no matter how small, will mean so much to them,” Lucy wrote, adding that sharing the fundraiser would also help.Share this with someone who can contribute•
