Musician Latinum Lati has dismissed claims that he has personally benefited from the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) despite his friendship with its president, Eddy Kenzo.Speaking during a YouTube podcast interview, Latinum clarified that while the Federation may have supported many artists, he is not one of the beneficiaries.According to him, his relationship with Kenzo has never influenced any special treatment or direct support from the musicians’ umbrella body.I don’t have any issue with my president Eddy Kenzo. He has tried his level best and he’s human too. Sometimes he makes mistakes and other times he does right.Despite acknowledging Kenzo’s efforts at the helm of the Federation, Latinum expressed dissatisfaction with the current registration structure of the organization. He revealed that membership fees and other charges have discouraged him and potentially other artists from fully embracing the Federation.Latinum proposed that the Federation scrapes off the registration fees to make it more accessible to musicians, especially upcoming talents.Beenie Gunter denies rift with Eddy Kenzo, confirms collaborationI’m requesting my president to remove the registration fee of the Federation and make it easy for any musician to register without anything attached to it. Unless if that artist wants to get the loan from the SACCO, then proceed to ask for a fee.He further argued that being a musician should automatically qualify one for membership without mandatory payments. According to him, the multiple charges, including joining the Federation, subscribing to the SACCO, and accessing loans, create unnecessary barriers. They ask for money to join the federation, ask for money to join the SACCO and also ask for money to get the loan. Uncle Eddy, let’s change that. @rednutskingkampala full interview on YouTube channel RedNuts kingkampala TV #foryoupage❤️❤️ #tiktokuganda #fyp #tiktokuganda @LATINUM 🇺🇬 @eddykenzo ♬ original sound – RedNuts kingkampala TV The post Musician Latinum Lati clarifies no personal benefit from UNMF appeared first on MBU.
