Immigration police have deported a man from North Africa after he attempted to enter Malta using false documents.He was arrested last year at Malta International Airport during a document check after arriving on a flight from Istanbul. Authorities discovered that he was using a forged identity card.In court, he pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him and was sentenced to imprisonment.After serving his sentence, he was detained in a holding centre while the police carried out his forced return to his country of origin.•
