Management of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has assured its staff that steps are being taken to resolve a temporary delay in their salary payments.In a memo dated March 4, the agency explained that the delay was caused by a technical issue with its bankers that disrupted the processing of salary payments.The memo, issued by the Corporate Affairs Department and signed by the Public Relations Officer, Abdul-Wahab Jawando, stated that management is actively working with the bank to resolve the issue.According to the statement, the banking problem is currently being addressed and the agency has received assurances that the matter will be rectified as soon as possible.Once the technical challenge is fixed, salaries are expected to reflect immediately in the accounts of affected staff.Management further assured employees that all outstanding salary payments would be cleared by next week.The agency also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and appealed to staff to remain patient as efforts continue to restore normal payment processes.
