Prince Felix Muteesa has called on the people of Buganda to promote unity and avoid divisions, urging them to use the current Lenten season as a time to rebuild relationships that may have been damaged by political differences.The prince made the appeal while officially opening the 2026 Amakula ga Beene annual gathering, which brought together members of the Beene clan from Mutuba 1 Nangabo in Kyaddondo County, Mutuba 4 Kasawo, and Mutuba 6 Kawuga in Kyaggwe County.Addressing the gathering, Prince Muteesa emphasized the importance of reconciliation and strengthening social bonds within the Buganda community, noting that the period of Lent provides an opportunity for reflection, forgiveness, and restoring harmony among people.Prince Felix Muteesa During the event, the Katikkiro of the Kabaka’s village chiefs, Omukungu Luutu Moses, also urged the Kabaka’s subjects to remain committed to their responsibilities and to focus on productive work while following established leadership guidelines.Meanwhile, several chiefs representing different Buganda administrative units reaffirmed their commitment to guiding their communities in line with directives from the kingdom leadership at Mengo.These included Mutuba 6 Kasawo chief Ssekannyo Henry, Mutuba 4 Kawuga chief Eng. Isaac Neuton Musoke, and Mutuba 1 Nangabo chief Ssaalongo Robert Kigoonya Luswata.
