Effie Defrin told CNN that while Operation Roaring Lion is proceeding quickly, achieving its objectives more quickly than anticipated, there is still a massive target bank with thousands of sites left to be hit in Iran.“We have thousands of targets ahead,” Brig. Gen. Defrin said.The airstrikes, Defrin continued, are likely to continue for at least three more weeks, through the upcoming Passover holiday.“We are ready, in coordination with our US allies, with plans through at least the Jewish holiday of Passover, about three weeks from now. And we have deeper plans for even three weeks beyond that.”However, the war against Iran’s terrorist proxies is expected to last for months after the end of the air campaign against the Islamic Republic.According to a report by Israel’s Channel 12 News, the IDF estimates that the renewed large-scale hostilities with Hezbollah will continue for months after the end of the war with Iran.Israel and Lebanon are reportedly preparing for direct talks, to be held in Paris or Cyprus, sometime in the next few days.At the same time, however, Israel is gearing up for an expanded ground campaign in southern Lebanon.In addition to the war in Lebanon, Israel’s military is gearing up for a major operation in the Gaza Strip, in the event that Hamas continues to refuse to disarm.Israel is expected to give Hamas a deadline for disarmament sometime after the campaign against Iran is completed.The post IDF expects Iran war to last three more weeks – report appeared first on World Israel News.
