The SSLC examinations, which will begin on March 18, will be held at 79 centres across Shivamogga district. The district administration and the Department of School Education have completed the preparations for the exams.In a press release issued on Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti said that 23,262 students including fresh candidates, repeaters and private candidates would be appearing for the examination.The administration has deputed chief superintendents, deputy chief superintendents, custodians, route officers and vigilance officers to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam. It has clamped prohibitory orders within 200 metres around the examination centres. Besides that, police have been deployed to all centres.The department has installed cameras at all centres, and a separate team has been constituted to monitor webcasting.
